  1. I believe your partner was right "let sleeping dogs lie" Home team still won and you got paid for 2
  2. started in 94 so I had them Had a house fire back in Nov. When all the clothes came back from the cleaners I found 1. Looked like it was brand new.
  3. Great discussion. I find that the umpires around here who continually beg of the dish are a lot the excuses already mentioned, but we have a couple who are afraid of getting hit,
  4. It's time to replace my West Vest Gold. Starting to show it's age. Any recommendations on what's new on the market. or even some old standby's
  5. Not sure what you are asking. You are wearing them outside your compression and inside your jock are you not

WildFlyer, thanks for the insight, I will try to remember to keep that in mind for future reference.

I am sure it does happen, but not automatically. But it is rude to assume that they all are

So if someone asks a question on another forum, does that mean they automatically ask it on this too? You do know what happens when you assume? Like I said it was asked of me.

nope just needed the rule reference, that would be why I asked for it

Was asked this question. Evidently this happened in a lower level game. Long inning, umpires lose track of outs, think there are 2 , when only 1. Batter strikes out for what is thought to be last out. Fielders leave field. other team takes it. Scorer brings it to the umpires attention about the discrepancy in outs. What next? 1/2 inning over. or put the defense back out? Rule reference please?
  11. I know that if a batter swings at a pitch and misses, and the pitch hits him it is a dead ball strike If it happens on the third strike is batter out and no dropped third strike?
  12. Concerning a trip to the mound If you can tell that a coach is "lighting up his players" , do you give him a little extra time to get his point across? Or does it not make a difference?
  13. my philosophy EVERY PITCH IS A STRIKE UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE. Or as I one heard CFS call effing strikes because catchers effing suck
  14. I have no idea on the circumstance's or even if this really happened. Got an email about it. Told them I thought it was a piss poor job of umpiring, but would research it. My question was. Why didn't the umpire inquire about the lights before the question of darkness came up? Why discuss ending the game when there are lights ? Whole thing sounded too far fetch to be true, but you never know
  15. After 7 innings completed. Tie score, Home Plate umpire decides due to impending darkness , the 8th inning will be the last. Both head coaches agree. Visitor bats no runs. Home team turns on field stadium lights , as they come to bat. They load the bases and drive in the winning run. No one from the opposing team complained , but , seemed to be an unfair advantage. Is there a rule against this?
