Without watching the videos, what do those have to do with the OP's post?

He added other videos that expanded the discussion. In the OP, these kinds of things need to stop. MiLB needs to rein in managers that do these stupid things. It's not entertaining and it puts the umpires in a terrible position.

no worries dumdumb its all good, i enjoyed your other posts. I thought it was pretty comical myself. I know we as umpires when we see this kind of stuff we automatically go with the thought of how do you let this go on, but you gotta admit as a fan of the game first most important, like thunderheads said it is pretty funny

Maybe I'm a jaded old guy but I don't see it as remotely funny. Too many managers want to see themselves on ESPN or YouTube and pull this stupid crap. It's not funny, it does not prove any point and makes them look like idiots.

I have mixed emotions about this one. I haven't seen the actual video, but have read about the story. I think it's kind of funny, but I have to say I'm mostly with Mike on this.

As an umpire, I'm really against it, since you can only eject once. As long as this probably had to take, I feel like the umpires should then 'get THEIR money's worth' by being allowed to punch the HC once for every X minutes he wastes with his bullSH*#. (And that's one punch PER UMPIRE per period, not one 'umpire punch' per period.) THEN it would be great.

As a fan, I'm against it, too - and that's whether it's as a home or away fan. A game can take long enough as it is, since even minor leaguers have to do their pimp walks to the plate, and tug and pull every piece of clothing and gear between pitches. Waiting for the coach to finish a tirade would make me crazy. Act like a pro and shut the hell up after a while.

I mean, umpires are short-leashed in their responses, to include prohibitions on profanity, so why is this slack-jawed crap going on from a coach manager?

(Not that I'm anywhere near that good, but it makes me glad I'm not an MiLB umpire. It would cost me my career, because I'd headhunt that guy for the rest of my life.)
