there is no issue in Danbury or Hartford. Good luck to your daughter at BC (GO EAGLES), i certainly hope the trip is with if for you both. The Heights is a great area of Boston. If you have time go to Mike's Pastry on Hanover Street, you'll regret it if you dont. Safe travels!
i have one, i absolutely love it but like you said the rivets suck! all my white under shirts have rust spots on them and if i get wet enough, you know mid game down pours in July, the rust gets to my powder blues. if you find the velcro version please let me know i need to upgrade.
there is a company out of connecticut that has been to our first meeting each of the last 2 years advertising that they specialize in refurbishing masks. I dont have their card on me but i can get you the info if wanted.
Do any of you suffer from anxiety during games? I dont know why but for some reason just before a game starts for me i get wicked bad anxiety. It doesnt matter what the level of play is either.
anyone ever have a partner that cant figure out how too put his bags on his belt? That has to be one of the most annoying too me is a guy that cant figure out loops
Not my partner but, i was watching a state tournament 12u game. 3 man system, the 2 base guys i knew from my association, the plate umpire left ALOT to be desired. Every thing and any thing you could think of this guy was doing wrong:
-Cleats not plate shoes
-red baseball socks (at least they weren't white right? )
-base pants not plates or combos (he did have on Wilson shin pads, i could tell by the logo being so tight against his pants)
-blue bag on the left hand side (they had on black shirts and he was a right handed throw)
-blue hat with football logo on backwards
I was watching from the press box with a my partners for my game and a couple other people not realizing that one of the other people was this guys assignor. I found out after the assignor left who he was and i felt awful about making my comments out loud, then i heard he had been talked about before about his appearance so it quickly passed.
I need to move down to wherever you guys are! Though i don't work college ball yet ( some college summer ball no conference games ) we don't start high school until end of March, if were lucky! The last game i worked was my couple innings at Mid-American, so needless to say i starting to get the shakes from the withdrawals! :banghead:
