Tournament Fees

I was asked if I was interested in working some U14 tournament games. Probably 6 to 8 games in a weekend. I was asked how much I would charge and me being naive, I said probably $75. Was I too low? What are some fees others get, if I may ask? I don't want to scare them off and I don't want to cheat myself. Thanks.

I did a 10U tournament this past weekend - 5 games Saturday (would have been 6 but Friday night storm resulted in one game being moved to a different field) and 6 on Saturday. Pay was $40/game.

$75 for all the games? No Way! You need 40-50 a game.

The tournaments that I work at in my hometown pay 25 to 30 a game, which adds up to around $200 for the weekend. Not as nice as 40-50 per game as stated above, but we are treated to free food and a nice air-conditioned changing room, plus I don't have to travel (it $ucks to put gas in my truck).

I would say that 75 for the weekend would be waaay too low!

Are you talking per game or for all games $75 per game way high for all games way low. $35-$45 per game is about right.

See, I told you I was naive! I was talking about the whole weekend. I've never been asked to do a tourney, so obviously I just fell off the turnip truck:) If they contact me again, I will tell them 40/ game and I'll go from there. Thanks men!

The rate depends on the time limits and the area you live in. We get around $40.00 a game.

12U we get $41.50 a game for tournaments

Above that we get $46.50

All games are two man.

Just because its a tourny doesnt mean the rates would be a hole lot diffrent from what youd get for any other games of the same level at the same location so i would start with that information and go from there.

If you choose not to umpire and have some time and will honor that rate you can come and paint my house!!!! Just kidding. We get $45/43 for these types of games.
