I've worn POS, NB, Magistrates and Zigs, and prefer Zigs because they are the lightest.

Google Nutty Buddy and you will now be directed to Battle Sports Science. I just ordered the NB and received the "package" consisting of the cup and compression short with a built in pocket! I didn't think we were wearing a supporter anymore since one did not come with the package, until I checked under "FAQ" and saw that it did indeed describe using a supporter too.

I removed the wings from my Gold since the retrofit has more materiel on each side than the original. The pads were useless with the extra material.

The "gap" Franklin T was concerned about does not effect protection at all. I just took a shot on it Saturday and felt nothing.

James' CP is a GOLD, and it says WV on the bottom, just like mine, which I purchased from U-A 3 years ago.

Indiana is Navy for baseball and powder blue with blue collar for softball. I've never understood why powder blue with black could not be used for baseball too so long as the crew matches.

I was looking for lower profile. Retro is on the left and original padding on the right. BIG difference and does not weigh any more than the original. I replaced the new straps TW put on with a Delta Flex. I like the new lower profile feel and look. :nod:

I had the WV Gold I bought 2 years ago retrofitted by TW for a lower profile. B)

Pictures of WV Gold with TW retrofit are attached. Original padding to the right of the retrofit. Much less bulky than original pads. Chest Protector is no heavier than original and fits much more snugly with the Delta Flex harness. :rolleyes:

Thunderheads: Are you saying I could just use the triangle of the DF and sew existing straps of the WV Gold onto the triangle? :jerkit:

The top straps on the Delta Flex seem too short. Looks like I'll have to sew them onto the existing WV Gold top straps. I do agree the lower plastic clips on the Delta Flex can be easily removed and the metal clips on the WV Gold slid onto the Delta Flex straps.

Got my WV Gold retrofit back from TW yesterday The TW padding on my WV Gold, reminds me of my Riddell Power. Retrofitted WV Gold is really low profile like the Power, but much more protection than the Power. Can't wait to wear the retrofitted WV Gold in action. I also bought the Delta Flex from UA, but am trying to decide whether to put it on my newly retrofitted WV Gold now, or wait until after I have worn the retrofit with the original harness. Any thoughts from those of have the retrofitted WV Gold about whether you prefer the original harness to the Delta Flex? :question1:

Anyone have the Honig's plate coat with a West Gold? If so, does it fit well? I would not trust the website and call them directly. I attempted to order a Black coat from them last year and they never got any in. So I would give them a call to see what their order plans are for the 2012 season. I ended up going with a honig's plate coat after finding out it the coat is made by the same manufacture of their polywools (Hardwick). This is also the same coat that the MLB Guys wear. I personally like this coat better than the Fetch.
