  1. Doesn't the runner have the right to a clear running lane ?
  2. Well I had a second baseman that got hit in the face when a ball took a bounce. I had the plate and when the BR reached first I called time put the runners back to the bases at the time out call. I am willing to put up with a s#it storm when it comes to player safety. Can you imagine the lawsuit if someones injury got worse because they got tangled up in a play ? I guess I was lucky because nobody said a word, how about that, some common sense for a change

    attempt

I can't see anyway but I have no video either
  4. We are a team and it doesn't look good if half of our team isn't there. What if something occurs during the game that was misunderstood at the plate meeting, what do you do for help ?
  5. Very sad for all involved. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all.
  6. You have to let us know what happened. Its not fair to tease like this

    The S Word

It is funny that this post got started because I have seen the term used and sorta had an idea what it ment, but now I know. Thanks for clearing it up
  8. Well I can only tell you from my own experience. I was doing the bases and in the first inning the runner steals second, close play so I bang him out. Now I hear some grumbling but no big deal and then I see the bag is covered by dirt so now I am thinking did I kick the call ? At the end of that half inning I cleaned the bag off and no comments from anybody so I guess I got away with one. So now I always check them first thing
  9. I was working a LL game and my partner had the plate. Well a pitch hit the dirt, got past the catcher and got him under the cup, it took a little while to gain his composer and we played on. When we had our post game I showed him my NB and thats all he needed to see to make him order one.
  10. All I can say is WOW this really takes the cake
  11. I agree the ball is always dead, if he swings its a dead ball strike

  13. No you still have the same calls, it just gets you out of the way when they bring the infield in,
  14. I have the New Balance and really like them. They are light weight, comfortable and seem to protect my feet well
  15. Just wanted to say hello. I have read this forum and decided to join, alot of good stuff going on here. I am in my 5th year and do jv and under although I have done a few adult league games. Looking forward to learning and possibly adding my 2 cents.
