  1. Dido on everything above. I have been to some LL clinics and we wrap up in the classroom to head out to the field for drills, and someone always asks, do we need anything? Answer is NO. The next thing you know you’re simulating removing you mask and clearing the catcher. I went to a weeklong pro-clinic and found that keeping our mask with you is expected. I'm not saying take it to the bathroom, although there are some hard core guys here that may think that's a good idea. LOL Think about it, if your the only one using a mask, when clearing the catcher you’re going to be noticed. Keep your mask in you Left hand, tucked under your arm or on your face when participating in any drills at the plate. Don’t forget the Indicator (it's not a clicker) yes, it stays in your left hand as well. Practice this in the mirror until you get comfortable with the process. A few more Do's and Don’ts DON'T.......wear white socks EVER, wear sunglasses behind the plate (they can't see you eye's when tracking the pitch), talk with others when clinicians are speaking, .. I'll let the others on this forum contribute more Don'ts. DO..........Show up early, raise you hand when you have a question, use, yes sir, no sir and thank you sir, when responding to clinicians, Keep your mouth shut when receiving constructive criticisms/evaluation of work, keep a small note pad and pen/pencil with you at all times ( yes in the bathroom. you ever know when a question may enter the mind LMAO) Guys this where you can add more Do's Welcome to the fraternity, Zildjian-JWS P.S Zildjain 390 years, 390 moments http://zildjian.com/

  3. day or night game?
  4. Ok. The situation 1st & 3rd 1 out represents a timing play. I need to remember, type what I mean not mean what type. That being said, applying FED, the way I read it, and I may be wrong.....human. I'm looking to the experts of this board to clarify, not only for my edification but for those that read and don't post. That's what this board is about. Better to make the mistakes here, than on the field. That could get you fired.
  5. Source 2012 NFHS FHSAA combined case book Page 70 RULE 9 SCORING-RECORD KEEPING exception d. when the third out is declared during a play resulting from a valid defensive appeal, which results in a force out. This out takes precedence if enforcement of it would negate a score, or c. when there is more than on out declared by the umpire which terminates the half inning, the defensive team may select the out which is to its advantage as in 2-20-2. Credit the putout to the nearest designated baseman. I'm going back to reading Carl's 151 ways to ruin a game. Downloaded it to the kindle last night from amazon. $8.99 Highly reccomend. Handeling this op wrong would qualify.. Oh ya, one set of rules please.
  6. this is a timing play. but has nothing to do with op as written. no run scores. third out delcared from a proper defensive appeal results in a force out and negates the run
  7. thanks for the info on the hat cooler.
  8. I got mine from Ump-Attire 3 weeks ago. I put them to use for a double header, even though the forecast was to be in the mid seventys, but living in SW Florida you never know when 80 degree day may crop up, and it did. After the 11am game, I noticed less fatigue than usual and during my cool down I tucked the used pack in my pants to cover my low back, man what a differnce. In getting ready for the next game the pack that was in the cooler came out as if it had been in the freezer. I am exteremly satisfied with this product and would highly recomend. I will definitly be getting the hat cooler for the 2013 season.
