Hello everyone,

My name's Nate, I'm 18 and I certified member with the Massachusetts Baseball Umpire's Association. I've umpired up to Jr. Varsity this year, I've been an umpire in the area here for 5 years. I'm graduating high school in two weeks and I'm going to college at American International College for Criminal Justice and Psychology.

I plan to go to umpire school after college and try a career in professional umpiring. If that does not work at all, I plan to go into a federal law enforcement career.

I'm the youngest state guy in my area and I had an article written about me in the local newspaper.. you can check it out here:

Well that's pretty much it, I plan to become an active member here. It looks like a fantastic community you all have!

Nate

I will be doing NEYSA Sandy Kofax and Mickey Mantel, as well as JLS Sandy Kofax and Mickey Mantel.. Both at local leagues.. We also have a huge tournament at the end of july and early august with over 50 teams that compete in 2 weeks. And the games pay $44 each, all ages..

Find an umpires association in your area many provide good training and help you launch into higher levels of ball.

I think there's a one for our "half" of the state. When I want to get into something bigger I'll look into it. Right now, free food after tournament games will have to suffice.

Well if you ever want to go to a high level, go to a local high school game and get the number to the board secretary for the local umpire board. They should set you up with higher level game, and enough extra cash for a year.
