Hello from NJ

Joined the site about a month ago and have been lurking ever since. I like the camaraderie of the site and lack the “Big Dog” mentality (at least for the most part). A little about myself, I have been umpiring for 14 years and like most if not all umps, I started with LL.

In SW NJ there has always been a fairly active group of “Alphabet Leagues” (AAU, ECTB, TSE etc.) and I worked a lot of games for people I knew. Got some great ball, everything up to U18 wood bat. Had/have some good friends that formed a kind of loose association and studied rules and mechanics on our own, Over the last 5 years or so they all joined one of the local associations to do HS ball, I joined 3 years ago, due to my work schedule I did not do much HS my first two years, but with a change in my work schedule I have been able to do a full season (as much as nature has allowed). I also do a lot of American Legion, and Adult league baseball. And yes I still do games for my local LL when I can.
