"Video replay shows that he did not say a single word to the umpire as he walked back toward the dugout."

0:21 seems to indicate the opposite.

My first encounter with brobible had me block it on whatever venue I was using. Why do you watch that sht? There is a good takeaway however and I'm surprised the technique is not well known. When you eject someone walking away you use verbal only. If they turn around, which usually happens, you then give the signal.

because i vetted it with this one on youtube, and forgot to switch out the old original post, maybe this will pass muster. nobody else like you brought this up for a learning experience/takeaway (for which you so amply provided (thank you) for the younger guys, and/but why is the technique you mentioned not so well known???) for those who will be will be trying to enter collegiate like you one day, which johnny 08 does a hell of a job doing, to show all umpires have their plays. not specifically just pro guys, t-ball league umps, juco umps, high school umps, all leagues to learn from. there is also a play right at the beginning of the new one provided that you could comment on with the swipe tag with positioning etc. before the ejection (3:05) one starts within the first 2 minutes. not many Horizon League situations get posted here either. only the hot shot power 5, leagues tend to show up. just showing their league umps a little love with plays and ejections that happen all over the US, once again hoping collegiate guys like yourself or more experienced umps and others will comment/take away for umpires all over. and i was busy watching Fritz in his tennis match and pictures of morgan, only to find out they have broken up.

and, how do we stop this commentary at the collegiate level and all leagues from top to bottom. maybe the academia paper, the right call, or the squeaky wheel gets the oil theory.

This fallacy that an ejection shouldn't happen unless the player shows up the umpire or looks at him just needs to go away. Players and coaches use this chickenSH*# tactic all the time. They say something completely ejection worthy while staring ahead or walking away to bait the umpire. Sorry, if you say "F you" or something personal, it doesn't matter where you're looking or if you're walking away. You. Are. Done.
