Hey folks,

My game today in the Philadelphia suburbs had 2 home runs. Both looked like long flies but they kept going and going and going.......No big deal. :agasp_:Just and observation my compatriot and myself talked about on the way home.

Tonight (within a few minutes ago), the Phila. Phillies have 2 grand slams to their credit (Howard, Ibanez). The Nat'ls had HRs as well.

Has anyone noticed the ball traveling better today/tonight in the Northeast part of the country???

Call me crazy..........:TD:

I don't know...I just finished a LL-JR game I think was 17 - 13 after 5. There were 8 balls hit to the outfield, only 2 on a fly!:crybaby2:

I had a pinto game and amazingly some of these kids were belting the ball one hit it against the fence. Down here it was hot with no humidity so the ball carried more.

Hey, I kind of figured it was the Hot weather here (90+ today) around Philly. There was no humidity to speak of and I'm sure that explains lots of it. No real wind to speak of, either.

It just amazed me that one ball traveled (I checked on google earth) 336 feet and almost looked like a routine fly to the left fielder at first. This was from a puny 9th grader.
