Mizuno Plate shoes Laces

With the Mizuno plate shoes not having a pocket to tuck in the laces like the NB plate shoes do, what is the best way to hide the laces so they don't show? Is it best to buy shorter laces?

I tuck mine in the slot between the side (top part of the eyestay?) and tongue. Never had a problem.

Ok, I found myself thinking about this the other day while I was getting ready for my game as well. I lace the shoes under the protection plate up to the reinforced tab on the tongue, then up through the eyelets on the plate, then across to the topmost eyelets at the ankles, then tie at the ankle. I tried lacing them all the way up, then back down through the eyelets on the tongue, but it put the laces more in the way. Is this what others do as well?

I've found that using a speed-lace pattern for lacing (instead of crossing the lace from side to side, form loops with each end, intersect the other, and go back to the same side) helps with tightening these more easily. Lace through the instep protector before the top eyelets. Tie the laces off, get the rabbit ears of the knot as long as possible, then roll the knot under itself. Tuck each ear into the side of the shoe, and call it a day.

If the ears are too short, they'll work their way back out.

I recently started lacing them this way and it's better than what I was doing before (I'd end up tying the knot on top of the protection plate).

This is what I did.. I bought some silicone laces for the top and went with 36” laces..
