Close Call Sports has quietly updated their website for 2025 MLB Umpire Crews it looks like.

Looks like Layne, Vanover, Emmel, Hernandez (retirements) and Hoberg out

Looks like hired are Tomlinson, Merzel, Emil Jimenez, MacKay, and Clemons in

Looks like Knight is starting unassigned/injury.  Think he's had a history of head/concussion issues.

The AAA call-ups are incorrect.  Wills is full time MLB umpire, starting in 2024 and Rosenberg was released in 2024.

I don't think the're updated. It says "TBD"

see it all now under "professional" post just added that went up on MLB yesterday sometime (exactly what time i do not know)

Brian has retired.

don't forget, brian started as a call-up in 2001, so he has been up for 24 years. he worked 675/6 games call up games before being hired full time in 2011. so those call up years work out to 6 full years on the field now, since a lot of guys work 111-114 games per year on the field and 21 games in IR, compared to pre IR when they worked 134-135 games on the field per season. and yes, some crews work 2 weeks of IR and some 3 weeks now.

yep, all of the WS crew from 2024 were in that range as u well know.
