In HS baseball, when a tesm is replacing a pitcher in the middle of an inning, can the manager stand in the batters box while his pitcher is warming up? To act as a batter while the pitcher is warming up?

The coach is allowed to remain on the field, provided his doing so does not delay the warm up. I don't see why it matters where he stands. But this is a bit below level behavior, and surprising.

I would secretly be rooting for a hit-by-pitch if that happened in one of my games. I’d prolly loose it & bust out in laughter when it did happen.
