Twins vs Rangers Thursday 8/24

Seems like the umpire crew had their gear not delivered on time. HP, 1B, and 2B umpires are wearing the old style gray panel black shirts with no numbers. AAA call up John Bacon at 3B is wearing the new style shirt with a number. HP Cory blazer is also wearing an All Star titanium mask with red pads (prob a twins backup mask)

I noticed the same thing, the mask Cory Blaser is wearing is a Rawlings titanium. He usually wears the chopped Nike titanium with Wilson pads and a samurai shovel TG. I noticed that (HP)Blaser #89, (1b) Carlos Torres #37, (2B) Jansen Visconti #52, not have their regular numbers on their sleeve ( expect for John Bacon #70, 3B). Hope is will be all back to normal tomorrow!

Good catch it was a Rawlings.

They had a brief delay as their gear was delivered and Cory got his regular mask back

Just goes to show you, atypical colors don’t necessarily mean you’re a less-capable umpire!

I was half watching this and thought its a bold fashion statement that CB was rocking the red Rawlings titanium. Next time I looked up from my book, it was gone like magic.

FWIW, I really like my chopped Adidas with the SG shovel TG.  Couldn’t chop a Nike and risk the ire of @MadMax as others have done.
