NCAA training

How do I register for NCAA umpire training. Arbitersports links don't work (for me). I am looking to register and get access to NCAA umpire videos and training materials.

NCAA has changed from Arbiter to RefQuest+

What part of the country are you from? If we know this, we can point you in the right direction. You need to get in with a regional/conference assignor to get games. The NCAA only assigns post season.

What would you recommend for someone to get started in 2024? I was observed at a pretty nice camp in the Great Lakes area and live in Ohio. I’ve got some commitments and family things to take care of this spring, so 2023 wasn’t feasible to get rolling.

What would you recommend for training, study, etc. to get ready for 2024? Thanks!

I am trying to access the NCAA training materials (videos) in preparation to work junior colleges in my area in 2023. The Refquest registration does not have junior college conference to select from. Is there a way to access the NCAA training videos on-line without paying for a DI/DII/DIII conference registration that I'm not going to work in ? Thanks in advance.

There is an unaffiliated option somewhere in the sign up process. I did it but can’t remember exactly how. The charge is slight less than the charge for conference umps.

Pinpoint one or two camps/clinics that the coordinators of the conferences in your area will be in attendance to go to. Go to the gym and get in shape. Join the CBUA to get access to training and videos.

What area of the country are you in? You could just join a group like the CBUA and get access to their training videos without having to register with the NCAA or NAIA. Registering with the NCAA is the only way to get access to their videos and memos for rule interps.

Thanks, JSam21. Been to the Mid-America once, Bruce Doane twice. This spring is just not aligning right for me, so I want to make sure business is taken care of before committing. Appreciate the feedback.

The Mid-American (2 Umpire in 2017) was the catalyst to the start of my college career. It is one of the best around.
