Little League does not have a bench restriction option like FED does. If it works for you, great, but if there is a protest, you do not have rule support for that action.

I know its not in the books but I thought it was an option due to staffing per kid type of thing.

Ie if there are only two coaches one must remain with the bench to watch the kids in the dugout.

If there are three then they could leave one still and have 2 base coaches 

Not that I do not believe that they could run a game with only one coach on the field but I do not think its a wise decision to leave one coach for 9-15 kids
