If you're talking just pure "Douglas" ... no. There is no difference.   Just different color plates and the black used to have a red/white/blue Douglas logo whereas the gray is just white.

There is a bit if the "cool factor" of having the black Douglas. But nothing more than that.

Absolutely good point Arik ....  true, ...black isn't made anymore, so it does have a "cool factor" and will also garner a higher price

Have you guys seen the prior black Douglas CPs without significant mods going for north of $190/$200? If so thats kinda nuts
