All Star Magnesium Throat Guard; powder-coated black

I have found a shop that will powder-coat(PC) magnesium locally.  If I were to purchase some All Star mag throat guards and have them PC-ed in flat/matte black... how many of you would be interested in one and at what price?

I'm thinking it'll be cheaper if we go together.   The cost of a new one is $30... so add in a cost for the PC to be done, plus shipping to you, and let me know what you're thinking.

I'm thinking a price around $50 for the completed job (PC and shipping to you) is reasonable, but am soliciting your opinions and feedback.   A Spyder is in this price range and is already black... would you want an All Star Mag throat guard also?

Any interest or nah?

Thanks @wolfe_man ... not for me,....  I had one and while I like it, ..... it's just a little too "cage-like" looking to me if that makes sense??  You have the mask bars and then the matching bars dangling underneath, ...I don't know, can't explain it, just a personal opinion.

I know what you mean. I've had one and I get what you're saying exactly.  I don't like that they "clack" against the chin guard on the mask.  They need a coating like the Spyder has possibly.  I always worry it's scratching up the mask and TG.   Then, I'm trying to remember if I've ever seen one of these in use anywhere.  I don't think I've ever seen one used at any level of baseball now that I think on it.

I still think the Spyder and the new Shovel are the best looking TG's out there to date.

I think I'm going to pass on this idea. I appreciate your response.

I believe one of the MLB guys is using a MAG and a chopped version of the mag throat guard. I just can't remember who.

I seem to remember someone using one of those sticky plastic dots to stop their Spyder from hitting/rubbing against their mask?
