Funny Comment from a HS Coach

2nd HS game of the season.... HT is winning big.  Just waiting for the 5th inning to get the run-rule....

HT coach:  Can we just keep playing all 7 and forget the run-rule?

Me:  No.

Conversation over!

The coach did have a funny line, but you didn't laugh...
... "hahaha...good one coach", would have ended the convo also.

"I don't know if I want to argue with your so I can get ejected.  I'm so tired."

This is what my HT HC said after one of his players was called out at the plate to end the inning as he is walking back to the dugout.  Back to back days with double headers, I can imagine he was tired.

Filling out the school payment voucher the other day pre-game with the HT HC. Just making conversation I ask the coach how the season is going so far while he is finding the paperwork...

"$h!tty! We are playing absolutely like crap." 

My answer... "AH... I don't know how to really reply to that one Coach. Got the voucher? Great! See you in 30 minutes for our meeting."

 

Thankfully no players were around... took me by surprise that's for sure!

Team went in to play so bad they won 12-0.
