It was AAU under FED rules.

Weird - AAU uses OBR up here.

While in Fed this is technically a balk, I am not going to call it unless one team complains, and then I will enforce it for both teams.  There's just no reason to go there.  In OBR, this is nothing unless an intentional walk is being given.

This was in Florida and they wanted us to use FED

Interesting.  AAU used to specify FED.  Now the on-line abbreviated rule book says MLB(American League).

Here in SoCal, they have been using "Sporting News" rules (OBR) for many years.

Depends if you need the out or not. We get paid by the game not by the time.  Situation dictates right? Plus, they can't tell you they say something you didn't in this case.
