The big African-American umpire I believe is Tim Davis.  Really cool guy. I've worked with him. He's big enough to make you stop doing what you're doing if he wants to. I noticed he took the little manager out of the way instead of the big one though.

I can't 'like' that sentiment enough.

There's NO way I'd be stepping into the middle of those two idiots if this were happening in one of my games.  And there's not a compelling reason for me to think otherwise.  (Spoiler alert:  any replies involving the concept of lawsuits and lawyers need not apply.  Fear of a lawsuit doesn't dictate what I do on the field - and it certainly doesn't drive me to take a punch by stepping in between two meatheads.)

Funnily enough, there's NO mention of said fight on the Alaska Baseball League website.  Shocked, I am!

I have umpired Mike's school, Concordia University, man times in the past.  They year they won the NAIA World Series title I had them early in the year and thought they weren't going to be any good.  Man, they caught fire.  They won 25 of their last 28 games.  When I had them in the GSAC tournament I didn't even recognize them.
