UI is a dead ball, BR goes to 1B, other runners advance if forced, but what if the BU is behind the infielders, where an infielder has had a chance at it, and no other infielder has a chance at it, is it still UI, or play on, similar to RI?

5.09(f) says the ball becomes dead when:

A fair ball touches a runner or an umpire on fair territory before it touches an

infielder including the pitcher, or touches an umpire before it has passed an infielder

other than the pitcher; runners advance, if forced.

Since that didn't' happen, the ball doesn't become dead.
