All Star Game Ejection

Hey Guys……….

 

I was doing a 8U coach pitch all-star game the other day.  I had an unruly parent come out on the field and start coaching kids and he was not appointed coach. I told him to leave the field and looks at me and says "What the F*#K are you going to do?"

 

I ejected him…………..

 

He started throwing a tantrum out there and started becoming very upset finally grounds crew members and commissioner escorted him out….

 

This all-star game is for the kids not a parent who wants to show boat.

I was thinking the same thing. Ugh. That guy should be banned for life.

Agreed. What a spectacular example this parent is setting for the 8 year olds.

On one hand, it's nuts.  On the other hand, there are usually only a few kids on each team that are actually playing at that level.  An "all star" game can be a way to put the kids who really want to play and have a bit of a clue on the field together at the same time to play something closer to baseball -- as long as no one takes it too seriously, it can be fun.  Alas, that caveat about not taking it too seriously can be a significant obstacle . . . .

All it does is get the parents all worked up when their kids are younger.  We've all probably seen parents bad mouth a kid that is in competition with their kid to make all stars.  It's incredibly sad.  It's bad enough when they are 9 and 10.  No need to get them started before their kids are even pitching,
