Why would you disinfect your gear if you're the only one using it?

(Serious question btw)

I work everyday in Arizona so my gear is sweat soaked. Even though I have multiple sets to wear, if I don't clean and disinfect it right away I will get mold and fungus.

I don't even really clean my gear other than to get rid of dirt or mud and I've never gotten moldy or fungusy gear before...and I sweat an absolute ton in my gear. That's interesting; it must just be the different enviroments.

Sweat, moisture, mud and dirt lead to odor, mildew and premature gear wear out or failure......especially for those that store the gear in a hot vehicle between games......

That may be a key difference for me. I keep 3 sets of gear in my SUV. One set is usually spread out to dry. God knows how hot it gets in there during the day.

Text wife, drive home (maybe or maybe not cursing the drivers on 95), hug the wife, take a shower, wash uniform, eat dinner then either read or watch tv.

At my age just try to remember how to get home.

It's a miracle you even get to the park! What were we talking about?

*scoff* 'Cuse, Firefly.

There's room enough in the multi- 'verse for all your sci-fi recreations... If sci-fi teaches us anything, its that's no matter how different we all seem, how weird our tastes might be, we're all just humans in rubber masks. That and that Wookies make better sidekicks than Gungans, that though the red shirt might look cool you don't want to be in the exploration business in the field of Security, that a borrowed museum piece of a Type 40 will get you where you need to go if not where you want, that all this has happened before and will happen again, that November 1955 is either of cosmic significance or just coincidentally popular for time travelers, and most importantly that if you immediately know the candlelight is fire then the meal was cooked a long time ago.

No one has "completes ejection report(s)" in their ritual? Just me then?

By the way, dare anyone to get all of those references without having to search them online!

Really? You make a bunch of DW references and tell people to look them up? You're behind the fandom movement.

I asked people to try and work out what the references were without looking them up. I also know that some will be easier to spot and others will be tougher, particularly to those not intimately familiar with the franchises to which they belong. Kind of like the off-season rule challenges from a few months ago: rule on the presented scenario correctly without looking up the rulebook.

At least it amused me for a few moments... :)

Haha I like that one, do you usually try the same route you took to get to the field or do you try new routes home lol

I cant remember.
