Point to the right, always the right. I hammer swinging strikes w/o a verbal of course! :HD:

Now, just for Mazz:

U3K I will back flip with a standard split, signal no catch by flopping on the ground, and then check with my partner after all hell has broken loose! I like to keep it simple. :HS

I always hammer called strikes, it looks more authoritative, and honestly, I'm just too lazy to step to the side to point biggrin.gif, and I'm already used to hammering strikes from doing softball as well, and it keeps my eyes on the field.

For swinging strikes, I go ahead and point to the right for righty batters and to the left for lefty batters, in that case, the point is a pretty relaxed point. On swinging strike 3, I never point, I simply get out of my crouch and let the batter leave and hammer the out. On D3K, I go straight to the safe signal.

This is what I do as well. Hammer called and point swings on the opposite side of the batter.

I am a pointer - always to the right. I am in a wide stance, so I stand up tall and bring my left leg in toward my right leg and then point. I was at a MLB clinic and Marvin Hudson told me to really snap off that point and make it crisp, so I do that now.

I see guys do the chainsaw on swinging third strikes with no verbal. Is this an acceptable practice? I just give the simple out gesture (with no verbal, of course).

On a swinging third strike just show the strike, no chainsaw, no voice.

That's what I thought. Sure looks strange to see a guy do the chainsaw on a swinging strike.
