Well, ..... I did it .......finally!! After much research ....

My birthday was back in February .....and I received some cash, so I figured. ..........I'm going to pull the trigger...did it yesterday.....with umpiring in mind:

Split Jackets, matte black with the silver icons (standard matte frame)

Lens 1: OO Black Iridium Polarized. A great polarized lens based on the G40 lens. A contrast based lens ..... let's in 10% of the light but based on the G40 it's a lighter overall lens, not too dark, a great polarized yet multipurpose lens

Lens 2: G40 - for flat to medium light, letting in 40% light ....another contrast based lens.

I thought these two were perfect together because they're based on the same base lens. Will cover a wide variety of conditions. Great looking, hip-Oakley frame, but nothing crazy, still streamlined and fairly conservative.

I've been wearing Oakleys since they came out in '84. You're really going to enjoy the Polarized lenses on the field. Good choices

I did enough research, that's for sure!

I wanted a polarized lens, but not one that is a TOTAL mirror finish, which is kind of cool

with these because up close, you can still see my eyes. I also wanted something that was good for more cloudy situations, or dusk ...but I didn't want to go as far as 'persimmon' or 'yellow' .....and, the fact that the OO Black Iridium Polarized is based on the G40 lens.....the G40 made the most sense.

Looking forward to giving them a whirl ....haven't really seen the sun since I bought them on Saturday...

For obvious reasons you have a much nicer set up, but about a year ago I purchased some Easton's from ump-attire that I have been pleased w/. They came w/ multiple lenses and think only hit me up for $30. I do have a pair of Gascan's that I have baught replacement lenses for and love, but they are too bulky for the diamond.

I too use Oakley polarized lenses. you will be amazed at their clarity. When I work the bases it seems like Im not even wearing glasses. Terrific investment. Best of luck.
