Well the football official, who hurt the big bad players feelings, has been suspended 1 game. Think the masses are appeased?

Would you care to narrow that down? NFL, college?

The offended player says that the official disrespected him more than he originally disrespected the official. From reports, that would mean the the responding MF-word is more offensive than an instigating N-word.

If the player used the N-word on an official, he should be disciplined also.

NFL. The official cursed out the player. Not his first offense. Given the wording of his post one could conclude that UMP45 seems to think that's an OK thing to do.

No I don't think it's ok RAT! Just another example of sticks and stones DB!

Given the wording of your OP, I got the same impression. Lighten up, Francis. No need for personal attacks that include abbreviating a word that I'm sure you know is banned on this site.

Didn't know it was banned. Don't care. Rich has shown his true colors as being a rat in the past. Once again sticks and stones.

Sounds like both parties are wrong, but the football field, especially at the pro level, is another world. The language is generally courser in all circumstances.

Thank you. Just another example a player wanting to do what he wants.

But I thought that went both ways in the pro sports. A player/coach and official using salty language is nothing new. What is new is the player tattling and getting the official suspended...that's wrong. It would be interesting to know how many times this player is caught holding tomorrow...the MF might stand for "my flag".

This was not a one-time happening with the official. Several players reported similar situations.

So, you're saying this tattling is not new?

I doubt any outbursts the official made weren't provoked.

Player keeps his mouth shut , then so does the official. Should the official make derogatory remarks to the player, but if the player shuts his mouth, problem fixed. Now, if this official has a habit of using inappropriate language, his white needs to take care of it. Now if the player thought the official was out of line then he should go to his head coach, head coach goes to white hat. No need to involve the league at all. Now unfortunately the player plays one of the worse and dumbest  coaches in football so who knows.

So it's OK if the official was provoked?  Aren't the officials supposed to be the grown-ups on the field?

And an official of course, in the history of the world, has never initiated any inappropriate actions?

The official in question has a history of inappropriate comments to players. Deal with it.

I would think that you would be embarrassed to admit this...

...that would make the coaches/players the undisciplined children.

...eat your vegtables or no TV.

Don't cuss at players...at any level. Today with instant and expansive social media... just not the intelligent thing to do.

The statement made, according to the player, only makes sense as a retort, not an out of left field remark. It doesn't make it right to make personal remarks to players. As the saying goes," You don't start nothin', won't be nothin'!"
