Looking back, it looks like Puig did get the raw end of a pitch or two earlier in the series, but again I emphasize, earlier in the series. No reason to continue and enhance the attitude carrying into a new game with an umpire who has been nothing but perfect during said player's ABs. It seems the player kept the grudge/attitude far too long so that it colored his response and caused a misdirection of his frustration. Barrett had the highest accuracy of all AL & NLCS umpires; he was 100% to this particular batter.

Puig also demonstrated how NOT to play RF too.

.971 fielding average during the season (.800 fielding average during LCS) would seem to indicate this is nothing new.  Tremendous tools coupled with a tremendous lack of maturity, and IMO, respect for the game.  Either no one in the Dodger organization has taken the time to explain to Puig how the game is played at this level, or someone has and Puig has just chosen to ignore it.  Lending credence to the latter was Puig's quote the other day of "that's how we play in Cuba."

Random musings...

If someone from a third world country, where athletic use of steroids by teenager/young athletes is not well restricted, who gets used to people not confronting his roid rage episodes, and after being "clean" from steroids for a relatively short period of time (though the hulk affects of steroid use is NOT erased with anything close to a 50 day "clean" period), came the the states to play MLB, what would he look like?

Well, Toto (read Puig), you're not in Kansas (read Cuba) anymore!

I guess wearing a Carlucci makes you a better umpire!  I knew there was a reason why it's so sought after!!
