What I can't figure out is how kids that have grown up with technology are so stupid to take pictures and post them to Twitter and Facebook. Nevermind that they broke into a guy's house and trashed it.

This is in my area. Some of the students that were at the party go to the high school in the district I teach in. I've been hearing there is some connection to the ring leader of the party who was arrested and Brian holloway. Not sure how true it is, but this story is not complete. Also heard things about the condition of the house prior to the party. Not sure how much is true though.

My college coach said "don't put anything on the Internet you don't want future coaches or future employers to see." These kids don't realize once you put it out there, it's out there for everyone to see.

The messed up part is the parents are threatening to sue the victim in this mess. Way to teach personal responsibility, parents.....

I am one of the few teenagers who have no interest in twitter and the like because I don't  think the world needs to know what I had for dinner last night or really cares either.  The world also doesn't need to know the state of my dog every 5 seconds.

Not all teenagers are like that. I don't have a Twitter or a Facebook, and the one social media site I have I try to keep to a standard of not posting stuff like that, at least now.

I guess I said it wrong, I was trying to say that one shouldn't post everything they do on there.  Think before posting as demonstrated I'm not perfect about it either but I try.

ill chime in..while i do participate in social media….i never understood how some of my friends think there are no consequences for what they post…..a friend of mine was denied a good internship because despite being well qualified his FB profile picture was him holding a handle of fireball….(btw my friend is 19)
