They even make mistakes in "The show"!

That's a good catch by the umpires. Nobody gets suspends. Woot Woot

The video shows the aftereffect but I would have liked to see what really happened to help judge it.  But if the coach announces someone then that person pretty much has to come in.  Sort of like the "left hand / right hand point" we had earlier in the season. 

 

Now in most of our games, I will give the manager an immediate correction -- if he says "Smith, I mean Jones" then I'll allow Jones to come in.

 

But in some areas they are by necessity more sticklers in the pros.
