USSSA 14U Majors

I have the bases.

R2 and R3, no outs.

Batter hits sharp one hopper to 3B which is fielded cleanly.

R3 is caught off the base and is caught in a Run Down.

R2 gets to 3B during this Run Down.

R3 gets back to 3B and now R2 starts back towards 2B and is in a Run Down.

R3 starts for Home again and is caught in a Run Down again.

After a few more throws back and forth R3 is tagged out.  Out 1.

R2 is now between 2B and 3B and is caught in a Run Down again.

A few more throws back and forth and R2 is tagged out between 2B and 3B. Out 2.

After that tag, BR is trying to get to 2B.

Throw into 2B, BR is sliding and a tag is applied and I call him out for Out #3.

You would need slow mo reply as a official scorer to document that one and all the players involved in it.  There were a lot of throws and it felt like it lasted for a long time.

Also the 2nd Triple Play I have seen and called for 2013.

Almost as good as a 3 pitch inning for finishing up quick...:-)

You called the outs on R2 and the BR. Did y also call the out on R3? If so we can credit you with an unassisted triple play...

Sounds very similar to the one the O's ran into a few weeks ago

Yes

I called all three outs.

It was an unassisted triple play.
