"Law, popular culture, & Dr. Seuss books" An actual topic of discussion on C-SPAN. Law professors from Harvard, lawyers from the ACLU, gay and civil rights spokespeople met at New York Law School on March 1st to have this in depth discussion on racial inequality, rights of personal identity, and American Civil Society discrimination and insubordination based on "Yurtle the Turtle." Dennis Parker, ACLU Racial Justice Project Director was the 1st speaker. He actually used the word 'appartheid'

Apparently, Dr Seuss was a homophobe, a racist, a hate monger. I guess "The Cat in the Hat" was Leroy the pimp.

And the pussification of this once great land continues :crybaby2:

I'm going to pretend that I never read that.  Stuff like this pisses me off.  How much tax payer grant money is going to these clowns?

Yurtle the Turtle is a criticism of authoritarianism.  Someone is misinterpreting this discussion for the sake of sensationalism.

Even if it is, who cares. The ACLU was arguing about something on the news this morning. Their argument so far out of the realm of intelligent thought I don't remember the topic. They arre a group that probably had relevance when formed but have presented arguments that have completely ruined their credibility. Even when they do something that makes sense people tend to discount it.
