Wow. Somebody is taking these games seriously.

Why shouldn't they be? It's still baseball. Maybe not a ring in it, but they're playing for their country. Pride is a powerful motivator. Plus, a lot of these guys are AAA or AA guys. Thrying to make a good impression and maybe get a MLB contract. If it were me, you better believe I'm gonna bust my a$$ and play hard.

Evidently it was due to a misunderstanding due to the run differential the breaker in this round of the tournament. The batter previous to Tosoni laid down a bunt up by six runs. The third baseman from Mexico pretty much told the Mexican pitcher to dot the next guy. (Took him two pitches. The first of which lead to Gorman issuing the warnings.)

Also remember internationally some of these guys get away with a lot more. The vast majority of international umpire's get absolutely zero respect. It can be a wildly different game.
