Just a note to introduce myself.  I'm Thom Richardson and this coming season with be my first with high school ball. At 60yrs old, (yup 60), I am looking forward to learning the craft.  I coached little league Pony for 20+ yrs, and played in the adult leagues until I was about 55, (when I discovered that they were making the balls smaller and faster, lol). I am here for the forums and to hear opinions on all the subjects there.

Welcome aboard Thom, jump right in and have some fun.  Post your questions and ask plenty of questions, there are a ton of guys here that will chime in and not only provide you with helpful opinions, but give you the rule citations and real time experience.  Most of all develop your thick skin here, it'll help on the field!

A word of advice. Forget what you "know" about baseball rules. You'll soon figure out the 80/20 rule. 80% of the players & coaches know 20% of the rules. Fans know less. Announcers know NOTHING.
