12U fall ball... One balk warning per pitcher per game...

R1... F1 comes set, pauses then lifts left leg (starting his motion), then he plants his left leg again.

Me (PU) and my partner say at the same exact time, "That's a balk!!"

No arguing that call! Love it! :yippie:

Nice. Me and my partner called one at the same time last weekend and the coach wanted to come out an argue.

That happened to me last season as well. The coach's argument was . . . ready? . . . since both of us called it, we must not know whose call it is; so if we don't know who's supposed to make the call, how can we call it at all? :wow:

I swear - that's what he said.

I don't know if I could contain my laughter if I heard that argument.

My partner & I just looked at each other for a moment; then I said "It was a balk, <name>. Let's play." and walked away.

His F1 balked again that inning. Not a word.

I cant believe that happened. I think when both of the umpires call a balk at the same time, it adds credibilty to both of you knowing that your right on top of the play, no ones sleeping, and you both know the rules

This is the good kind of simultaneous call. Has anybody ever had the bad kind of simultaneous call? I know I sure have (on a rotation gone awry at third).
