When I put in the winter15 code they are still more than $70. What is the secret to get them in the $40s...I have some guys that would jump at them for that price.

He was probably getting base shoes, not the plate shoe.

YES, YES!!

Last year, for 98% of the season I used the plate shoe, ... amazingly comfortable, and they're actually lighter on the feet than the Reebok's. I did an 11 game , 2 day marathon in July, and rotated base, plate, and my feet were what felt the best on me.

The plate shoes get a bad rap, simply because their website reads like more of a 'softball' site. I agree. That said though, ....they have 'baseball' shoes also. Yes, their plate shoes have a carbon fiber toe, ...so do the Reebok's. Have they been MLB tested, ...I don't know. Rumor has it that MLB guys wore their shoe in Spring training last season with favorable remarks.

Their base shoes, personally, I like more white on my shoes, but, ...they are mega-comfy, light, and easy to care for!

very nice looking plate shoe...i bought one last year...but the fit is not good...they are a bit short in length and the EE width at best is D/E.. ...the shoe is the lightest plate shoe...very light like ur wearing base shoes behind the dish...i wasnt to impressed wtih the toe protection...very minimal...but it is great looking and very light...i wore them around the house four or five times hoping they might stretch in width...i bought them from purchase officials supplies out of pennsylvania for 74.95....and i sold them to a fellow umpire...for me they just didnt fit right and the slimsy toe construction gave me too many concerns...but wow it is very light and good looking shoe....i recently bought a 10 1/2 EEE honigs plate shoe for 59.99 on clearance and they fit awesome....
