Saturday was quite likely my final game of the year. If I don't get anything new this week I will pack up my gear.

What do you have planned to keep sharp either physically or mentally during the off season?

I work indoor soccer to stay in shape. I study the rules and go to the boards to keep my head in it. I will teach a couple clinics to get th guys back in it.

I am back into the gym 3 nights a week for the physical side ....probably spend much more time on the boards....work in a few association board meetings....

Update the rules library........study.........work on my powerpoints for my training classes...recruit....keep up with the members.....make some follow up calls to the new guys from this past year.....half to help them evaluate next season development needs/ half pep talk.....

Read, go to clinics and write on these type of boards to learn from anyone and everyone I can. I lift three days a week even through the season, I'm in the gym (Golds) at 5AM it gets me going in the morning. I swim almost every day to do some type of aerobics and I teach Tai Chi.

UIC after my last game I clean my gear and put it away. At this point I look forward to the time off.

I am not a fitness phanatic but I keep in relatively decent shape.

Except for visiting the Forums I pretty much stay away until my first HS association meeting where they hand out the rules / case books and Part I test. That's when I brush up on the rules both old and new.

As for OBR, rules do not change as much as FED / NCAA so for me I brush up on OBR by re-reading my JR manual.

I lift three days a week, Mondays usually back and bi's 3-4 sets 12-15 reps, Wednesdays shoulders and legs., and Fridays chest and tri's. I try to swim every day as I live at an over 55 community with an indoor pool and I practice and teach Tai Chi. OH YEAH I try to eat clean!

I get my exercise tromping through the woods after deer, squirrels, rabbits etc. Also rowing a boat to put out duck decoys. A little later, once we have good ice on the lakes and ponds, it will be dragging an ice shelter through the snow out ont the ice for some hard-water fishing. That is the physical side - I like the outdoors, so that's how I get my exercise.

As for the mental part, lots of reading on boards like this, reviewing rule books, and maybe a clinic if the district offers one.
