Boyer said an outburst like that won't happen again from Harrelson

I'll believe it when I see it.

But the positive thing is Selig actually addressed the situation. I'm absolutely floored. My respect for him has moved up.00000001%

Can someone post his reply from today's game mentioned in the article from the meeting.

Hope he is not going to wimp out and back down. He said it and meant it, so why not just state he meant what he said and said what he meant.

We all know he is a douche, so nothing he can say will change that. Is he worried he will get taken off his assignment or blackballed like coaches do umps?

Let's see if he states he will """continue"""" to do his job the way he sees fit, that he did nothing wrong, and will continue to do this type of rant when he thinks the umpires are wrong, since he thinks it is the """right""" thing to do.

Does he still have to feed his family at 70???

Let's see if he takes back his ejection of Wegner, just to please the coach (commissioner) when he feels he was correct in his call.

So, little Kenny Harrelson doesn't like it when he has to sit there and take all the crap from the commissioner and owner, just like he expects umpires to take a bunch of crap from the players and managers and from jack wagons ex players like himself. He can give it but he cannot take it.

And listen to the baby, he says he will take his ball and go home if he can't be the center of attention and be himself, just like he accuses the umpires of doing on the field, and butting in where they have no business or throwing a player out.

Everything he says about umpires is exactly what he, the great Ken Harrelson, wants to do. Guess the umpires kept him and his 239 batting average out of the HOF, rather than his broken leg one year and then Chris Chambliss took his place and he retired to play pro golf. Maybe he has a green jacket and is in the golf hall of fame, but oops, he only played in the British Open and missed the cut by a stroke at +9.

He was critical of Haywood Sullivans player personel decisions and was fired from his first broadcasting job with the Red Sox. Guess he decided blasting umpires was the ticket, rather than sticking to what he knew best and criticizing the owners and players. Guess he needed a job. What a person of ill repute.

He became a GM himself for the White Sox and fired Tony LaRussa who was soon hired by the Oakland Athletics, he fired Dave Drombowski, who went over to the Expos as the youngest GM and is now the president, CEO and GM of the Tigers, and he traded Bobby Bonilla who became a 6 time all star with Pittsburgh for Jose DeLeon who was 15-17 with the White Sox.

Yes sir re--HOF player, announcer and GM and HOF umpire complainer. And maybe he will make it to the HOF as the No. 1 umpire complainer.

Too bad in 1969, when he was suddenly traded to the Indians after his good year with the Red Sox, he was gutless and briefly retired, rather than say no, take baseball to court and test the reserve clause. Instead, he left that to a brave young man named Curt Flood.

What a 2 faced no good...........................don't get me started.
