Hey guys ....ESPN Sunday night game, LA @ SF ....

Does anyone know, or see the 'issue' Joe West had with Casey Blake, ...and later , there was a batters box issue w/ Kemp?

Anyone see this ....I tried to find video, but nothing yet.....

I saw it too. I think the box might have been drawn too short towards the back. If blake was using a 36" bat that would be a great measure of where to measure the box.

Reminds me of Tim McClelland using the plate (17 inches) to determine the 18 inches up the bat that was allowed for pine tar in the George Brett incident.

Typical I love the rats announcer-"I just think this is a little over the top, a little unprofessional". Guess he thinks Joe should bring out a ruler or something or have the grounds crew come out and measure. IMHO it seems like a nice way to improvise and get the job done and keep the game moving.

Exactly right. And the entire time the grounds crew is out there measuring the same clown will be complaining about how long the games are.
