So in the winter time I store my uniforms in one my closets. Usually they hang there until its time for some ballgames. I do not do HS, so my first games aren't until the end of April.

Wednesday evening I recieved my first assignments of the year - two 10U games yesterday. It was chilly out yesterday, so I decied to put on my uniform pants left the house. Only one problem - the pants were too tight around the waist! I grabbed another pair, and sure enough, all my 32" and 34" pants no longer fit my now 36" waist. :smachhead: Now I knew I put on weight since last season, but didn't think I'd need to buy new pants!

Luckally I do have ONE pair of Honigs Combo flex-waist pants that will get me though until new pants arrive! Expect a for-sale post soon! :spit:

Last year a friend and I worked a NAIA mid-week double header two hours from our town. I drove. When we got to the college my buddy discovered that he forgot his pants - base AND plate! The funny part was that I had an extra pair of plate and base pants hanging in my SUV and he wears the same waist and inseam size! How lucky is that?

I had the opposite problem...I lost 25 lbs during the off-season. All of my pants & belts were 44. I'm now in a 40. I had to put a rush order through U-A for both plate & field pants. They arrived just in time and my seamstress turned them around very quickly.

I once showed up for my Sunday Adult games without any uniforms at all.

I had removed the bar and uniforms that hang in the back seat so my daughters could ride with me on Saturday.

We got home late Saturday night.

Sunday morning I grab my coffee and hit the road.

Didn't realize I didn't have any shirts, pants or pull overs till I got to the field.

Luckily there was a little more than a hour till the first game.

Called SWMBO and she loaded the kids up in their PJs and drove the 20 minutes to bring me my uniforms. :notworthy:

I forgot a belt on Saturday, I usually keep my 1 3/4" belt in the gear bag in the car but I met SWMBO for dinner after my games earlier in the week so I inadvertently left it in the closet at home.

Unfortunately my wife and daughter were at Disney this weekend (where my daughter's team won their 2nd Cheerleading World Championship in the last 3 years  ) and my 15 year old son was home asleep, wouldn't have mattered as he only has his learner's permit. Luckily my partner was one of our HS apprentice umpires and he had an elastic uniform belt in his baseball bag from his game the night before. Not pretty, but I did 3 plates without having to pull up my pants after each pitch.

I usually carry extras of just about everything, but not a belt (fixed this morning with an Ump-Attire order :)). Lesson learned, you will need the one thing you don't have backups of.
