Ok I have a question from watching this video?

Why doesn't a MLB Umpire shave before he comes on to the field to work a game?

May be he over slept, was tired and explains the stupid call.

IMO, if he doesn't want to get hit by that pitch, he doesn't. Pretty weak move to get out of the way.

Are you agreeing w/ the call?

No, but I can see how he got to that conclusion. Looks like he is turning to lessen the blow and not turning to get out of the way.

Am I the only one surprised at the leash Davidson gives Roenicke? He was out there arguing a call that was 4 or 5 pitches ago, which is usually an automatic.

No. You see this all the time. When it leads to an ejection after the fact, and the manager comes out to defend whoever just got dumped, part of their argument is about the ejection, part of it is about the play, therefore, they get a bit more leash then normal.

Is this the same Morgan UIC wrote about last year

Here's MLB Networks coverage of this which is pretty good.

It shows the whole history. Except (they do mention it) that Morgan is only playing right now because he is appealing a suspension for throwing a ball at a fan.

It's the same Morgan but I'm not sure what that stuff has to do with this play. He is a turd but I think Davidson got it wrong.
