  1. I have to ask TM, Liberal Democrat? :-)
  2. Are these shirts already "sized" for wearing A WV? eg. if you wear an XL regular shirt, should you order an XL or an XXL to use with the CP? Some companies say their shirts are "pre-sized" for the CP? TIA :-)
  3. MST, with all due respect, are you FKM??????????? SJA
  4. F6 ignoring R2??? Nowhere in the video does it show or indicate F6 even looking in R2's direction throughout the play. HE DOESN'T KNOW HE IS THERE!! If this "situation" happened to me (F6) any other place, there's going to be a fight because as far as I'm concerned, I've been blindsided by some SOB! SJA
  5. Mike, yours show fine / normal as always for me. :-)
  6. The fielder apparently was NOT attempting to tag R2 and he wasn't coming at him. 3rd time I'll say it . . . he wasn't even aware of him!
  7. This is merely an observation and question for individual thought. If you are moving ahead in a "straight line" and there is an "object" moving from right to left in front of you, wouldn't your instinct be to move to the right and behind it instead of left and in front of it? ? Here's the video: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9595510 Watch from 1:43 to the end. Also the slow play.
  8. He wasn't concerned or aware of R2. He was concentrating on the play at home. THAT was the game changer!
  9. That is a point I failed to mention in my post. :-)
  10. Oh well, my.02 . . . I saw the play several times over. I have the R2 INT (unintentional and that doesn't matter in this case anyway) . . . F6 had fielded the ball and moves forward for the play at home unaware or even thinking about tagging R2 out. IMHO, R2 had time / could have avoided F6. Dead ball on INT, R2 out, R3 returns. Just my .02 guys. SJA
  11. Our boy Nickalous Bonnar at U1 :http://www.capebretonpost.com/Sports/2013-08-09/article-3345085/Bonnar-ready-to-umpire-at-Little-League-World-Series/1 :-)
  12. That would be a little far-fetched don't you think? . . . if they can't throw a ball to the PU from the infield, maybe they shouldn't be in the game. SJA :-(
  13. This thread reminds me of a oldie but goodie by Bobby Vee . . . "rubber ball I come bouncing back to you . . . " ;->
  14. My knowledge could be considered evidence. I really don't care whether you believe it or not. As far as being kept quiet? Are you for real?? Only those involved would know, and only two are still alive . . . that I know of. I'm done on this subject. SJA
  15. What is it about my statement of PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE you don't understand? I have no reason to make any false accusations. SJA
  16. I agree but it happens year after year at all levels, LL,BR, Dixie, Fed, even college. I know many states have the most arbitrary and capricious methods where very good ummpires sit home and awful umpires get championship games. LL is not the lone strangers in having bad umpires at levels they don't belong. I can state with personal knowledge that I've known 2 year umps that have BOUGHT their way into the LLWS games. Politics and $$$$ while very experienced and WORTHY umps have been sidelined. Sad, but that's a reality. SJA :-(
  17. I didn't pay it much attention but GD pants make you do that . . . and I believe the bag was blue?
  18. Correct! Take notice how many umps in various games, divisions, leagues, etc. that do just the opposite. :-)
  19. Hell, flip it to the base ump for a relay to PU! :-)
  20. I am told by a female that has done several baseball regionals that women can't put it their pocket, hips don't allow it. Evidently throwing it in takes too long so traditionally LL has used the shirt. Then maybe they should be allowed to wear a pouch, get pants with bigger pockets, or throw the balls in since it's dead ball anyway. Never heard that crap about hips. :-(
  21. The question was putting it on, not taking it off.
  22. How do you put your mask on? Do you grab it with your right hand and the harness with your left or vice versa? ?
  23. May be I missed something, but the PU in this game has done very well IMHO. What did he mess up? SJA
  24. New Manual: "Umpiring . . . from a baseball's point of view". ;-)
