Any members from Chesapeake City Maryland LL on here? ?

First off, I guess a should have stated that the "volunteer ump" was literally a guy out of the stands. NOT a regular "LL VU". Sorry about the confusion.

The volunteer ump didn't say anything. I honestly don't know if he was paying attention. :-(

While watching a Major LL game yesterday, a coach was warming up the pitcher (no-no) and he made the remark to the pitcher "pitch it at their face" several times with a "smirk". Myself and other spectators clearly heard this. He HOPEFULLY was joking, but I thought it was in VERY BAD taste and the consequences that COULD occur, even if by accident a batter was hit in the face. I'll be honest, I'd have ejected him, joking or not. Your thoughts please gentlemen? SJA

Hi guys :-) I'll throw a monkey wrench in this one. Rule 7.08 (a) 4 - "the runner slides head first while ADVANCING.") . . . What if he / she is RETURNING to a base? Food for thought, huh? . . . SJA :-)
