concertman1971 Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 I had a call with this company last week https://getmicdup.com/ Their platform is pretty amazing, and I think it would be a great tool for umpires to use in-game for evaluation of partners as well as self-evaluation. The mic saves the audio and then you upload it to your phone/computer when the game is over. It will transcribe the words for you and you can then share clips/games/situations with colleagues. Would love the group thoughts on something like this. With the HS "no mic/camera" rule for players, do you think this would be allowed? Quote
umpintosh Posted August 7 Report Posted August 7 I like the concept, however I don't know how associations would feel about having the umpire mic'd up during a game. Also, 25 bucks a month is a bit high. Quote

Catch18 Posted August 7 Report Posted August 7 Some state associations prohibit their officials using cameras, recording devices, etc.I can see some merit in it, but I doubt I need a playback of me muttering, “f*** that base coach, I might dump his @$$ if he doesn’t shut up.”Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
