Someone please remind me what the mechanics are for the following play. Its the first time I experienced it and I think I kicked it due to me not being properly positioned and me having a mind fart.

R1; Outs don't matter.

Batter hits a pop fly along the first base foul line.  R1 interferes with F3.  F3 touches the ball and drops it while the ball is in (a) foul or (b) fair territory.

With (a), R1 is out and BR goes back to bat.

With (b), R1 is out and BR is awarded first base.

Is this proper for both Fed and NCAA?

The mechanics are:

(1) Point and call the interference
(2) Wait to determine the fair/foul status of the ball
(3) Call time, reinforce the interference call, call R1 out and then either send the batter back or award him 1B.

Same for all codes.

Bonus question: if runner INT on a foul ball, is Batter's AB complete or do they lead off the next inning?
