End of the summer

With the end of the season I’ve been deep cleaning my gear. It’s amazing to me how much dirt mask pads, shin guards and plate shoes accumulate over a season. I vow to no longer hold my mask out like a collection plate for dirty baseballs.

Why do you wait till the end of the summer to clean your gear?

Am I just "too much" in cleaning it as needed?

I clean it after every game.  This is a deep deep clean.

@boyinr, thank you for sharing this...I have been wondering why my mask gets so dirty when I do my best to keep it clean...[facepalm] Baseballs in...the mask...sigh...
