If a batter attempts to bunt with 2 strikes, can he advance on a dropped strike 3?

Does he make contact with the ball? No? Then he can certainly (attempt to) advance to 1B on the U3K. The offering to bunt is the same as a full, clean swing thru the pitch.

Technically, the correct term is "uncaught" third strike not "dropped" third strike.

Difference is, two strikes, pitched ball and batter swings, strike 3, but the ball hits the ground and bounces into the catcher's glove and the catcher does not drop it.  Since the ball was not caught in-flight it's an uncaught third strike even though it wasn't dropped.
