Multiple coaches out during mound visit

Was just watching Texas-Arkansas softball Super Regional and saw Texas take a visit in which both the manger came out (to talk to F1-F2) and a coach came out (to talk to the infielders). Anyone ever seen that before? Is that a softball thing? Everything I see in the baseball rules refers to singular manager/coaches making a visit but doesn't explicitly say only one.

I’ve seen a lot of this in local/travel tournaments.

I don’t object as long as: A) it doesn’t take any extra time, and B) the rest of the dugout doesn’t follow them out.

Apparently, it is a college softball “thing.” The 2020-2021 NCAA Softball rule 6.12 that deals with conferences actually uses plurals—here are a couple of examples--

6.12 Conferences

A charged conference is a delay in the game the umpire grants to allow team representatives or team representatives and players to confer.

6.12.4 Charged Defensive Conference. A defensive conference is a meeting that takes place anytime a defensive team representative(s) delays the game or requests a suspension of play for any reason and delivers a message (by any means) to any defensive player, or a fielder leaves her position, goes to the dugout area, and gives the umpire reason to believe she has received instruction.

In addition, I found a couple of NCAA softball case book plays where the head coach and the pitching coach are on the field at the same time.

For comparison & completeness, here is NCAA Baseball conferences rule:

"Rule 6, SECTION 5 Time shall be called by the umpire and play is suspended when: (f) A coach or player is granted a timeout for an offensive or defensive conference. Each team shall be allowed three (3) offensive and (6) defensive conferences per game, no more than three (3) of which may include a coach."
