I really assumed that Bumgarner (the douche he is) deserved that, but .... after seeing ALL OF THE VIDEOS ... Bellino's actions here were just ... weird, it certainly appeared to be a "bait" to piss off Bumgarner.  It worked.

To me it felt like that Bellino was looking for an excuse to run him at that point.  The weirdness of the hand holding I can see "The Mad Bum" being upset about, it would have creeped me out.

Marge would you look at these dish pan hands...

I agree with you TH  I think he "baited" the mad bum.

Bumgarner took the bait, apparently. What he should have done was to say, "Are you asking for my hand in marriage? I'm sorry, I'll never marry an umpire."
